We only use our own brand of hair extension, No. 9 Luxe. Our brand is the highest quality hand-tied hair extensions. That allows for a long-lasting look. Averaging eight to twelve months before having to replace the extensions.
Our ever-growing in-house hair extension collection allows you to reserve your hair extension appointment right away.
No longer do you have to come in for a consultation to pick the hair color of the extensions, order the hair, then wait an additional 1-6 weeks before your hair extension appointment.
*Custom orders must be made for 24-26″ in length and curly or wavy hair extensions.

Your hair must be at least 4 inches long.
We do not recommend getting extensions if you; pull on your hair, do not like the feeling of something in your hair all the time, have recently undergone surgery, have an allergy to metal, swim often, or have any medical conditions that involve hair loss extensions are probably not right for you.
Wefts are a string of sewn hair extensions that are typically 10-12″ in length that are used like a headband when installed.
Rows are the sections that are used to install the wefts.
At The Nines Salon, we only used hand-tied wefts.
Hand-tied wefts are stitched by hand creating a thin root. They are lighter, thinner, and more customizable for these reasons.
Machine wefts are bundled and then stitch with the use of a machine. Because of the machine stitching, the wefts are thicker, heavier, and limited in color combinations.
First time installation appointments include; the hair extensions, hair coloring of the extensions, hair coloring your hair, installation extensions, blending of the extensions, home care kit.
Maintenance appointments are recommended every 6-8 weeks.
At each maintenance appointment we will touch up your hair color and your extensions, and you’ll leave feeling as fresh as the day they were first installed!
The weft installation appointment is typically 3-5 hours.
Your maintenance appointment will typically last 2-4 hours depending on what we do with your hair color at each visit.
No! In fact, we only do consultations if we need to order a special texture or hair color.
We reserve time at each installation appointment to consult thoroughly before we begin. Because we specialize in hand-tied extensions, we keep plenty of hair in stock to be able to choose a perfect blend that we will custom color for your unique installation, so matching your hair to a swatch ahead of time is unnecessary.
Yes! You can style your hair pretty much any way you want to with these extensions and they won’t show! Because of the unique installation method and the extra effort we put into custom coloring your extension hair to blend perfectly with your natural hair, no one will ever know you have them!
While we would love to say yes, salt water and chlorine from swimming pools can potentially reduce the longevity of your extensions. The salt and chemicals can dry out the hair, contributing to tangling and matting issues, and potentially leave them discolored as well.
If you still plan on swimming, getting your hair wet and using a leave-in conditioner before putting your hair into a braid, and then rinsing immediately post-swim, will help avoid damage!
Yes! You can ponytail, braid and bun your hair without issues. We recommend coil rubber bands for ponytails.
Unfortunately, no. we have a very high level of standard when it comes to the quality and ethical sourcing of the extension hair that we use, and cannot guarantee the quality or know the true source of the hair unless it is purchased directly through us.
Your initial installation appointment includes hair color to both your hair as well as your extension hair. All of our clients receive some sort of hair color service to their natural hair to make sure the extension hair blends beautifully and looks natural and seamless. It is RARE that a client does not get color at her initial installation appointment but it is possible, however, know that this will not affect your appointment price.
No. We understand and appreciate your loyalty to your current stylist. Unfortunately, there’s just no way for us to guarantee consistency or a perfect blend of your extensions with more than one stylist working on your hair color, and it also makes us nervous since not every stylist is used to working with extension hair. Extensions are an investment and we wouldn’t risk potentially ruining them. If you’re ready to take the plunge with extensions with us, you’re all in!
Yes. We will likely schedule your weft maintenance appointments every 6-8 weeks, and schedule color maintenance in between.
As a new guest at The Nines Salon, you will still need to fill out our Guest Intake Form. Be advised that 95% of new guests that have extensions end up with new hair.
If we believe your extension hair is in good condition and can be reused, you will not have to purchase new hair. Keep in mind there is an additional charge for the removal of tapes or bonded extensions, and if you have significant tangling or matting.
About Reservations
A non-refundable retainer fee is required in order to secure your extension reservation. This retainer fee does not cover the cost of hair but your spot on the stylist’s schedule. The retainer does go towards your total cost of service on the day of your appointment.
You may move your reservation for no charge before the third day 11:59 PM of your scheduled appointment. You may move your reservation appointment only one time.
Please note that we will asses a fee if you must move, cancel, or not show up to your appointment after this deadline. If you have made a prepayment, we will retain all of your prepayment. If not, we will charge your credit card. This fee is equal to the total cost of a reserved appointment.
On your third time canceling or moving a reservation with less than seven days’ notice in one year, you will no longer be able to pre-reserve appointments. You may be put on a waitlist for the day you are wanting or make an appointment for the day of only.
All services are non-refundable. Only small adjustments are made to the service within 7 days at no charge.
