What to expect

As a new guest, you’ll receive extra time at your first appointment for a thorough consultation. This ensures what was reserved is the right service that is needed for your hair and desired outcome look.

Color OPTIONS

There are two different types of services within each category.

“Experience” services are for you if it is your first time getting a color service done at The Nines Salon or you are a returning guest that wants to change your hair color style.

“Maintenance” services are for returning guests that have been at The Nines in the last 6-12 weeks (depending on the service).

Our color menu does not include a haircut. If you would like to add a haircut you will be prompted to after you have selected the service.

Reservation

All reservations require either a non-refundable retainer or a credit card on file.

Maintenance

Recommended maintenance:

Color Maintenance 4 – 6 weeks

Dimensional Maintenance 8 – 12 weeks

Gloss Treatment/Toners 4 – 6 weeks

Home Hair Care

Wait 24-48 hours before washing your hair. This helps your hair color to last longer.

Shampoo should be emulsified in your hands before being applied to your scalp. Apply shampoo to your scalp only.

Light Blonde Hair. Alternate blonde (purple) shampoo and hydrating shampoo. Blonde shampoo should be used more frequently to help fight the brass that may occur as the weeks’ pass.

Do not use conditioner directly on the scalp. Use conditioner from your ponytail and down to avoid weighing down the hair.

When going to bed at night, pull your hair into a loose ponytail at the nape of your neck or a loose braid. This will prevent tangling.

Never go to bed with wet hair.

Using a satin or silk pillowcase keeps their hair from tangling at night.

When styling your hair with flat irons or curling irons, set the temperature no higher than 390º. Also, it is important to use a heat protector on your hair.

When swimming, coat your hair with conditioner (leave-in spray works too) before hopping in the pool or ocean.

Using the right products is very important. Sulfate-free and paraben-free products are ideal for longevity. I recommend using Nº9 Luxe Blonde Shampoo & Moisture ConditionerRepair MaskMoisturize Repair Spray, and Argan Oil Serum.

About Reservations

A non-refundable retainer fee is required in order to secure your extension reservation. This retainer fee does not cover the cost of hair but your spot on the stylist’s schedule. The retainer does go towards your total cost of service on the day of your appointment.

You may move your reservation for no charge before the third day 11:59 PM of your scheduled appointment. You may move your reservation appointment only one time. 

Please note that we will asses a fee if you must move, cancel, or not show up to your appointment after this deadline. If you have made a prepayment, we will retain all of your prepayment. If not, we will charge your credit card. This fee is equal to the total cost of a reserved appointment.

On your third time canceling or moving a reservation with less than seven days’ notice in one year, you will no longer be able to pre-reserve appointments. You may be put on a waitlist for the day you are wanting or make an appointment for the day of only.

All services are non-refundable. Only small adjustments are made to the service within 7 days at no charge.
